Our Story: The Omni Experience

Hi, I’m Michael Monroe. Based right here in East Idaho, my passion for live event production didn’t start behind a DJ booth—it started behind the scenes. I was originally introduced to the world of lighting design and sound engineering through technical theater, which is actually where I met my wife. After years of running the technical aspects of stage productions, from intricate lighting configurations to live audio mixing, I realized how much I loved shaping the atmosphere and energy of a room.

I first started DJing by borrowing my dad’s bar band PA system to run sound for family weddings and receptions. A year and a half ago, I officially took the leap and founded Omni Events DJ and MC. Since day one, I have poured every penny back into the business, constantly upgrading to professional-grade audio and dynamic lighting gear so I can bring absolute top-tier production quality to your special day.

I operate on a very straightforward philosophy: I don’t believe in the “wedding tax.” Just because the word “wedding” is attached to your celebration doesn’t mean you should be hit with an arbitrary upcharge. I pride myself on offering exceptional, high-quality entertainment at an honest and affordable price.
I also don’t mind traveling to make your event perfect. Having done long-haul trucking during COVID, I am no stranger to the open road, and I’m more than happy to pack up the rig and bring the party to you.
